Autonomous Robotic System for Commission Tasks
نویسندگان
چکیده
The paper presents the development of an intelligent robot system for the autonomous picking of many thousands of different hard goods (cardboard boxes) and soft goods (textiles packed in transparent foils) out from unstructured heaps in commission tasks of catalogue sale companies. For task solution, a 6-axes industrial robot is employed, which can be equipped with various mechatronic grippers. A progressive sensor system comprising a high speed laser scanner, a force torque sensor in the robots wrist as well as tactile sensors in the gripper fingers allows to acquire thorough knowledge about the scene and to deal with critical situations such as mechanical deadlocks or object slipping out of the gripper. Collision free grasp planning is performed in a model of the robot cell. The robot system was installed and tested successfully using authentic objects in the shipping department of a famous German catalogue sales company.

متن کاملAre Autonomous Mobile Robots Able to Take Over Construction? A Review
Although construction has been known as a highly complex application field for autonomous robotic systems, recent advances in this field offer great hope for using robotic capabilities to develop automated construction. Today, space research agencies seek to build infrastructures without human intervention, and construction companies look to robots with the potential to improve construction qua...
متن کاملAn Autonomous Robotic Table for Domestic Environments
Two main trends are emerging in the area of home and service robotics. The classical one aims at the development of a single skilled servant robot, able to perform complex tasks in a passive environment. The second, more recent trend aims at the achievement of domestic tasks through the cooperation of a network of simpler robotic devices pervasively embedded in the environment. This paper contr...
متن کاملutonomous robotic weed control systems : A review
Autonomous robotic weed control systems hold promise toward the automation of one of agriculture’s few remaining unmechanized and drudging tasks, hand weed control. Robotic technology may also provide a means of reducing agriculture’s current dependency on herbicides, improving its sustainability and reducing its environmental impact. This review describes the current status of the four core te...
متن کاملOptimal discrete-time control of robot manipulators in repetitive tasks
Optimal discrete-time control of linear systems has been presented already. There are some difficulties to design an optimal discrete-time control of robot manipulator since the robot manipulator is highly nonlinear and uncertain. This paper presents a novel robust optimal discrete-time control of electrically driven robot manipulators for performing repetitive tasks. The robot performs repetit...
